Morning and Welcome – especially to all the new people joining this blog. This is where I like to share the things that come up for me, my clients and humans across the world as we chase down the healthy life. And the one thing comes up again and again is how hardgetting out of bed can be.
Do you train when you like to or when you HAVE to? If the only time you have to work out is early in the morning, then these tips will make it happen.
1. Get Ye Clothes Ready and Get early to Bed Fortune favours the prepared and this tip isn’t new from me, but I swear by it. Try to Layout the days clothes for you and your kids the night before. and get ready for bed before dinner. You’ll love how much time this frees up.
2. Graffiti Inspo. Choose your mode. Liquid chalk, photos or Inspirational Quotes. Graffiti the spaces that matter the most in the mornings – I recommend the toilet wall. Hopefully any desire to go back to bed will be curbed once you’ve reaffirmed what really matters to you.
3.Take ’em With You Not everyone’s life is conveniently laid out with a partner who can stay at home and mind the kids while you train. Getting them up early once or twice a week will not kill your kids. Because they are normal, they might complain, but nothing is more powerful than the reinforcement that you have to make time to train as an adult. Most parents I train have to bring kids at some point, and it’s awesome to see them realise that their mums really are super.
4. LOVE your Breaky. Plan it, savour it and make a delish post workout snack something to look forward to. It’s super easy to find ideas on the net for at home and breakfast on the go. Try HERE (MY Fitness Pal link) for some simple, cheap and nutritious ideas you can look forward to and add them to your shopping list immediately..
5. Keep It Real. Some of us just have to ease into a new routine slowly. If morning training is new to you, then make sure you only plan a couple of days a week in the beginning. Keep your goals relevant and simple and affirm, affirm and affirm till it becomes habit.
It’s not always fun, but getting up to train in the morning really does get easier!
